November 5th, 2002 is the day to let our representatives know how we feel!

Select the category to the left and print a copy for your reference.

You will notice a column heading of NNT. This column will indicate if the candidate is for or against ANY new taxes. Incumbents will be coded based on their voting history. If an incumbent has abstained or gone on record as ''Present but not voting'', No New Taxes will indicate that as FOR new taxes. Candidates are voted into office to represent us and to make decisions.

Candidate has indicated the he or she is totally opposed to any new taxes and has no record of voting for any new taxes.
Candidate has indicated that he or she is currently opposed to any new taxes, but will not completely rule them out.
Candidate has indicated the he or she is for new taxes, will consider all their options, abstained when a vote for new taxes has come up, or has a record of voting for new taxes.
It is unknown at this time as to whether the candidate is opposed to any new taxes. No New Taxes is still investigating.

Other columns of interest are:

Income Tax Candidate has indicated the he or she is in favor of a state income tax, has voted for a state income tax, or if at the federal level, is in favor of an increase in federal income taxes.
Sales Tax Candidate has indicated the he or she is in favor of an increase in sales tax or voted for the increased sales tax. A (1) indicates House Representative voted for the passed Cooper Bill, a (2) indicates Representative voted for the failed CATS Bill, and a (3) indicates they voted for both.
