You will notice a column heading of NNT. This column will
indicate if your representative is for or against ANY new taxes. Incumbents will be coded based on their
voting history. If an incumbent has abstained or gone on record as ''Present but not voting'',
No New Taxes will indicate that as FOR new taxes. Candidates are voted into office to represent
us and to make decisions.

new taxes and has no record of voting for any new taxes. |

Candidate has indicated that he or she is currently opposed to any
new taxes, but will not completely rule them out. |

Candidate has indicated the he or she is for new taxes, will consider
all their options, abstained when a vote for new taxes has come up, or has a record of voting for
new taxes. |

It is unknown at this time as to whether the candidate is opposed to
any new taxes. No New Taxes is still investigating. |

| Income Tax |
Candidate has indicated the he or she is in favor of a state income tax,
has voted for a state
income tax, or if at the federal level, is in favor of an increase in federal income taxes. |
| Sales Tax |
Candidate has indicated the he or she is in favor of an increase in sales
tax or voted for the increased sales tax. A (1) indicates House Representative voted for the passed
Cooper Bill,
a (2) indicates Representative voted for the failed
CATS Bill,
and a (3) indicates they voted for both. |
